– Generally, Take 5 ml twice daily with/after meal. Or as directed by the physician.
-Term healthy infants have sufficient iron for the first 4 months of life.
– Breastfed term infants at 4 months of age need 1 mg/kg every day.
– Formula-fed term infants don’t need iron supplementation in the first 12 months because most formulas contain iron. – Breastfed Preterm infants need 2-4 mg/kg every day.
– Formula-fed preterm infants need 2 mg/kg every day.
– Infants between 6-12 months need 11 mg every day.
– Toddlers 1-3 years need 7 mg every day.
– Children 4-8 years need 10 mg every day.
-Do not take it on an empty stomach.
-Do not take more than the recommended daily dose.
SIDE EFFECTS:
If you take Irofolex Syrup as directed by the manufacturer, then you should not experience any unwanted side effects.However, if you do take more than advised you should seek medical advice right away.
